How you feeling, Hot Hot Hot?

I have to admit, going to the beach was never a thing I looked forward to on a date.  Not everyone is a size 2 bikini or loves their sun-drenched hair waves, as seen on TV.  So you are 3 or 4 dates in deep in the relationship and he/she says, let's go to the beach! Um, okay, now let's do the prep work!  There are so many land bombs when you make the hot and sticky journey to the beach. Let's get past this anxiety, whirling, nervous feeling of complete failure - and enjoy a day under the sun!  If you don't live at the beach you probably have zilch in any kind of beach style. No need to give up the ship yet - some of the crusty crabs that live at the beach have the oldest, rusty, and unpleasant odor gear. Happy New Year New Jersey! Never a dull moment, even the weather has all of us running under the covers this December. What resolution did you not keep, I mean make for 2010. Forget the resolutions, the key to a successful person is always to put themselves as the #1 priority everyday of their life. What is missing in the new year, fill it with something else that is just as satisfying. Ahhhh, The Holiday Parties!

Break Free from the Holiday Party Stress. Is it really necessary to attend a holiday party for the whole time? Come on, the food, the beverages, the songs, the red, the green, and the black - so done! Stop in and say hello - bring a small housewarming gift - then head off to something more eventful and less stressful - like chillin' by a warm fire. Holiday parties to me - I've seen them all - bored by most - except for the one year I pulled out Twister. This season, make it meaningful, visit an older relative or adopt a pet - make it exciting...your date will thank you! Merry Christmas!

My goodness, the discussion of who pays has finally met its match, No One! Not funny, I know. Let's get down to what can we do to celebrate our date without suffering any overhead costs. It all comes down to the basics of courtship...the old-fashioned way. A stroll along the Atlantic Ocean, through one of our beautiful State Parks (don't forget the picnic), or through one of our small lovely towns ( ice cream is always a perk). Let's face it we need to think outside of the box and staying home is not happening - regardless of our economic crisis. Look towards your local high school drama clubs for some exceptional plays - always leaving you with plenty to talk about. The Spring offers school concerts both chorus and band - most are for free. Have you been to the library lately, many many movies are being played - for FREE! Check out the website of the local library in your neighborhood or his/hers.
