Memorial Day Dates, New Jersey

Nothing projects romance more then a fresh strawberry. It's suppose to be a little hotter than usual for this time of year in New Jersey - Memorial Day 2007 - but what a fresh start for date to pick strawberries. Some farms who promote agritourism are not ready for us yet - the strawberries are ready at different locations across the state. One location in Central New Jersey - Battleview Orchards - has a great set-up with a Country Store located nearby. The store sells food that will compliment your outing. Important things you need to know: You will need to purchase a "picking" card for a small sum, $5.00 (I think) They will supply the container to hold your strawberries, but bring your own for fun. WEBSITE: http://www.battlevieworchards.com Pack a picnic and relax and the nearby hills of Monmouth Battlefield. Oh what a date it will be fun! Happy Picking and Courting, Eileen
