How you feeling, Hot Hot Hot?
I have to admit, going to the beach was never a thing I looked forward to on a date.
There are so many land bombs when you make the hot and sticky journey to the beach. Let's get past this anxiety, whirling, nervous feeling of complete failure - and enjoy a day under the sun!
Not everyone is a size 2 bikini or loves their sun-drenched hair waves, as seen on TV.
So you are 3 or 4 dates in deep in the relationship and he/she says, let's go to the beach! Um, okay, now let's do the prep work!

If you don't live at the beach you probably have zilch in any kind of beach style. No need to give up the ship yet - some of the crusty crabs that live at the beach have the oldest, rusty, and unpleasant odor gear. Years of smelly shells, dry sand, and saltwater rust have created the least romantic beach vibe.
Which beach should we visit - do your research - look for easy parking, maybe even the opportunity to pre-purchase your badge on your mobile, bathrooms, and snack bars backrests are a nice touch. I suggest Spring Lake Beach or Sea Girt Beach for a peaceful day.
- Go with two color choices, pastels or bright popping colors. Extra wide beach towels or a beautiful blanket made in Turkey. A must! The beach always gets cooler after 4:00 PM - perfect cuddling time! Should I bring a chair - absolutely. Unless you don't have one. No worries, check out Amazon for some cool back rests you can attach to your towel.
- Yeti, Yeti everything! I know you got it - need to keep the beverages cold!
- A book, NO! Read the room :) Unless you met at a book club.
- Sunscreen, make sure it is 50 SPF and SMELLS GOOD!
- Keep it simple, dine out at the local seafood takeout joint.
- Enjoy the day, and go home salty and sandy....
